What is HMEA?
Helsinki Metropolitan Entrepreneurship Academy (HMEA) offers inspiring events and programs to students, entrepreneurs, actives and other entrepreneurial-minded people in the Helsinki Metropolitan area. HMEA is not about teaching, it’s about sharing experiences and inspire people to go out there and show what they’ve got. We have real entrepreneurs speaking about the corner stones of business, seasoned with their own experiences and stories of entrepreneurship. At first, HMEA’s events were made by students for students. Nowadays, we are pleased to see that our events have attracted a steadily growing group of entrepreneurs from various fields. HMEA’s events are an ideal environment for networking and sharing ideas, even for recruitment!
The programs are open and essentially free of charge for all.

Mission & Values
HMEA's Mission is to enhance the "Entrepreneurial Spirit" amongst students, actives and people working in corporate jobs, via inspirational and practical educational events & programs. By changing the environment more entrepreneurial-minded, giving the best education available, HMEA aims to help producing several new companies yearly, and help the existing startups to grow their business.
HMEA's Value statement is "What ever you do, Love it". In few words this means that HMEA is not trying to force anyone towards entrepreneurship, we simply want to create unique possibilities to those interested and bring entrepreneurship as a topic to as much people's lips as possible.
The operational model of HMEA works via Four simple steps:
Get Inspired - HMEA provides different inspirational events and workshops
with the goal to entertain and educate at the same time. As an example of this step we organize
inspirational Entrepreneur Tuesday- event series.
Get Views - HMEA organizes unique possibilities to leave problems in the daily life aside for a while, and really get to focuse one's business idea/company, with the top entrepreneurial education possible anywhere in the world helping you to succeed in your goals. As an example HMEA organizes BootCamps in the places like
Cambridge University, UK.
Get Ready - Because we realize that entrepreneurship is not all fun and games, this is the step for those who really need help or inspiration in some fields of their businesses or ideas. Educationial events and workshops help you to get outside viewpoints alongside to your own thoughts.
As the name states this step is for those actually willing to do things to get one's company/idea going.
As anexample of this step HMEA organizes Workshops with professionals in different fields, who can give the best advises possible, while you'll be working with new practical tools to help your idea/business to grow.
ACT - As stated earlier, this is the part each individual has to take oneself. We give you the tools, possibilities and inspirational places to work your own idea, but the last step you must take by yourself.
